Image & Branding

Marketing

My experience thus far.
From university to the workplace. From brand to product.

Development

Knowledge From Two Sides

My experience with marketing so far can be divided into two parts. On the one hand, my academic education, both at university and self-taught. On the other hand, my practical experience, from within workshops, as a working student and as head of PR and marketing at the campus radio at the University of Münster.

This experience is further underpinned by my own interest and passion for the subject – the mechanisms behind advertising, image and branding have had a firm hold on me for a long time.

The Details

Experience in the Field of Marketing & PR

University

During my studies I took a variety of lectures in the field of marketing.
In addition to basic lectures in the areas of marketing and strategic communication, which gave me a general overview of the respective areas, I was also able to take specialized courses. For example, in the areas of image and branding, political marketing, cross-media communication and employer branding.

This academic content was further supported by practical projects that covered the entire process from analysis to the finished product.
In addition, I was able to further my education through various workshops. Among other things, in the areas of leadership communication and presentation.

Workplace

During my time as a working student at Rasch, I was able to apply the skills I learned during my studies first hand and gain new insights. This included tasks in the area of image conception and target group identification, but also more tangible tasks in the areas of layout, design and social media marketing.

In my role as head of the PR and marketing department of the student radio station at the University of Münster, I was not only responsible for the station’s internal and external communication, but was also able to gain experience in event management and marketing, as well as in employer branding and recruiting.
Since this was a voluntary position, I was able to follow and design these tasks from concept to finished work. This gave me a particularly comprehensive and in-depth insight into these activities.
